Promoting Sports Safety in Kenya

A Day of Football, Friendship, and First Aid

This past Saturday, September 14th, The QuickFix Learning Hub and Universal Care for Africa Foundation celebrated World First Aid Day 2024 with a memorable event focused on the theme: First Aid and Sports!

Held at the PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute in Dagoretti - Nairobi, the day was packed with fun and education. The highlight was an exciting football match between Jaoko Soccer School and Star Boys Soccer Academy, showcasing the talent and passion of young athletes.

But the fun didn't stop there! Our staff teams also joined in the action, playing football with the kids. This interactive element added an extra layer of engagement and made the event even more memorable.

Beyond the Game: Equipping for Safety

With the support of our event partners, Eagle Nursing Home and SafetyNet Consultancy, we went beyond the beautiful game to emphasize the importance of safety in sports.

Eagle Nursing Home provided a well-equipped ambulance and a medical check-up tent, ensuring immediate care was available if needed.

SafetyNet Consultancy played a crucial role in imparting valuable first aid skills to attendees. Learning how to respond to injuries on the field can make a world of difference.

Recognizing Excellence

To acknowledge the efforts of all participating teams and organizers, we presented awards and certificates, recognizing their contributions to the success of the event.

A Clarion Call for Sports Safety in Kenya

World First Aid Day may be over, but our commitment to first aid education in Kenya continues. We believe that by promoting sports safety through injury prevention classes and first aid training, we can create a healthier and more enjoyable sporting environment for everyone.
